- Today, the
Istituto Italo Latino Americano
(IILA) and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (蜂鸟电竞在线入口) announced a new strategic partnership, sanctioned by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) identifying areas for strategic collaboration. Through this partnership, IILA and 蜂鸟电竞在线入口, though its Development Centre, will aim to foster policy dialogue and policy impact by promoting the exchange of experiences and good practices for a sustainable and inclusive recovery in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).
The partnership seeks to tap 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 expertise to help implement economic and social reforms. It focuses on at least four areas of collaboration in LAC: sustainable development and circular economy; territorial development; Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) development and SME policy; financial, economic and social policy.
IILA and the 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 have co-operated in the past, notably through the 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 Development Centre, which counts 14 member countries from the LAC region. The new partnership aims at strengthening and broadening this cooperation on a broad range of policy areas.
Commenting on the signature of the MOU, 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 Secretary General Angel Gurría said: “the partnership between the 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 and IILA comes at a critical time for Latin America and the Caribbean. It confirms the deepening of our collaboration with the region to support the design and implementation of better policies for better lives in the aftermath of the COVID-19 crisis”. IILA secretary General Antonella Cavallari recalled the strong ties between the two institutions in the context of the 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 Development Centre’s policy dialogue activities, and pointed to the important reason for the partnership. Ambassador Antonio Bernardini, Permanent Representative of Italy to the 蜂鸟电竞在线入口, and former Italian Ambassador to Brazil, reiterated Italy’s strong commitment to supporting the joint activities of IILA, 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 and its Development Centre and welcomed the agreement as a sign of the continuous relevance and two-way relationship between LAC and 蜂鸟电竞在线入口.
IILA and 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 will cooperate notably via joint international events, joint research, exchange of information, the participation of experts in meetings, and exchange of staff, including through the 蜂鸟电竞在线入口 Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Programme.

The
Istituto Italo Latino Americano
was created in the context of an international convention signed in Rome in 1966 by Italy and 20 Latin American nations. Since its inception, IILA has played an important role in facilitating relations between Italy, Europe, and Latin America, an action that it carries out operating in the cultural, socio-economic, technical-scientific and cooperation fields, using tools such as meetings with sector specialists, sponsoring events and scholarships, promoting congresses, conferences, exhibitions and other events, implementing cooperation projects in Latin American countries.
